Diamond Named MTV’s Best African Act

Diamond Platnumz has emerged the winner of the 2015 MTV EMAs Best African Act. Diamond whose real name is Nasibu Abdul Juma was in July named the Best Live Act at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) held in Durban, South Africa.

Diamond’s win follows that of Kenya’s favourite crooners and perfect gentlemen, Sauti Sol who last year won in the same category. The boy band took to their Instagram page to congratulate their East African compatriot urging their fans to vote for him and bring the worldwide award home.
