Jacob Zuma has survived yet another motion of confidence, this time, by secret ballot. There were celebrations from both sides as the vote count was much closer than previous votes.
Shouts of “sell-outs” and “traitors” were heard as MPs left the chamber.

The total vote count was as follows:
Speaker Baleka Mbete made the unprecedented decision on Monday to decide that the vote should be conducted by a secret ballot. A move which took some pundits by surprised some pundits, but the ANC welcomed.
And so, on Tuesday, it was business as usual, sort of.
